“Forêt des Livres” ,
Chanceaux-près-Loches
A prestigious and popular festival where authors present and
sign their latest works. The occasion is organized by "Touraine
Culture et Communication" and initiated by the well-known
author, Gonzague Saint-Bris, inspired in turn by the 19th
Century novelist Honoré de Balzac.
"La Forêt des Livres" takes place just before the Award of
Literary Prizes in Autumn of each year. About 10 000 people come
to meet 80 authors in our area of France, which has been
associated with great literary figures since the 15th Century.
